Canadian Deceased Registry™ Reports August 2025 Deaths in Canada

The average age of death for Canadians in August was 77.9 years—a figure that held steady compared to July and was just below the 78.0-year mark recorded in August 2024. This insight provides important context: while the number of deaths fluctuates month to month, the age profile of Canadians passing away remains remarkably consistent.

In total, 17,181 deaths were reported in August 2025, a 5.5% decline from July’s 18,173 and 14.5% fewer than the 20,115 recorded in August 2024. This marks one of the lowest monthly totals in the past two years.
